Rush collaborates with award-winning Texas landscape architecture studio, Ten Eyck Landscape Architects (TELA), to lead the adaptive re-use of our historic South Austin property into a seven acre nature reserve, bar, kitchen and racquets club.
Rush Courtyard schematic design
Based in Austin since 2007, Ten Eyck's twelve person team leads design innovation in the region and addresses pressing global issues such as drought, climate mitigation and aging infrastructure. TELA is dedicated to creating restorative outdoor environments that are infused with natural beauty, provide habitat, purify air and water, encourage social interaction, and foster human healing.
Recent projects include Cosmic Saltillo, San Antonio Botanical Garden, Pease Park, Mexican American Cultural Center and Hotel Magdalena.
In this unique collaboration with Rush, Ten Eyck are utilizing design practices rooted in sustainability and connectivity that will help us rehabilitate and preserve a natural gem in South Austin's crown - making it available to the public for the first time.
